BSF Recovered Heroin Dropped from Drone by Pakistan in Punjab
On 02nd Feb’ 2024, on specific information regarding presence of a suspected packet in a field in the outskirts of village- Roranwala Khurd in Distt Amritsar, an extensive search operation was launched by BSF troops in the afternoon hours. During search, at about 04:00 pm, the vigilant troops successfully recovered 03 packets suspected to contain heroin (gross weight – approximately 1.6 Kgs) along with 01 yellow color mini torch. The narcotics were wrapped with yellow adhesive tape and a metal hook was attached with each packet. This recovery took place in a farming field adjacent to Roranwala Khurd Village in Amritsar District. The reliable input and resolute action by the BSF troops yet again successfully foiled one more smuggling attempt of Pakistani smugglers to push narcotics into India.
